Enjoy great wine while benefiting a great cause.

A Perfect Pairing

A Perfect Pairing

What if every purchase you made gave back? With OneHope Wines, they are doing just that.

Annmarie Mitchell of Gig Harbor is an independent “cause-entrepreneur” for OneHope Wines and facilitates in-home and in-office wine tastings in the Washington state area. Produced in the Napa Valley under Robert Mondavi, Jr., every bottle of OneHope wine gives back 50 percent of their profits to make a positive social impact on the world. For example, Pinot Noir helps find pets forever homes, Cabernet helps autistic children get ABA therapy and Brut feeds hungry children healthy meals. For those looking to give back to a great local cause, you can host a private tasting with 15 percent of proceeds going back to benefit a 501c3 nonprofit organization of your choice or your own.

These tastings and events are not only a fun way to explore new quality wines and learn about the different varietals, but also help to raise money for local charities! To date, the OneHope Foundation has given more than $2 million dollars to nonprofit organizations. In the last three months, Annmarie has contributed in raising more than $3,000 through local events for causes closest to her friends, family and community.

If your company or organization is hosting a gala or fundraiser, or you’re planning a wedding—and including wine for the event—why not use OneHope? Bridesmaids gifts are available, too.

“The events I host are not just office happy hour and private wine tastings,” says Annmarie. “If you are looking to raise money for a local organization close to your heart, OneHope wines are available for larger events as well.”

And remember, the more wine that is purchased for an event, the more your special cause benefits!

Annmarie, a long-time volunteer and supporter of the Greater Gig Harbor Foundation, introduced OneHope wines at the organization’s annual Holiday Gathering and Volunteer Celebration this past December. “I am working with the Foundation to identify opportunities where OneHope wines can help the organization as they work forward to make a positive impact across our community,” says Annmarie.

Additional local nonprofits she has worked with include Miss Pierce County Scholarship, various Relay for Life teams, PTAs and realtor offices, along with other organizations she is currently working with on upcoming events. “I am thrilled to be able to provide a product that gives back to help our local nonprofits.”

According to Julie Ann Gustanski, co-founder, president emeritus and CEO of the Greater Gig Harbor Foundation, “GGHF’s work centers on providing support to help meet diverse community needs in five core areas—arts and culture, education, parks and environment, recreation and social capital—which are all essential to sustaining vibrant healthy communities across our greater Gig Harbor and Key peninsula community.”

She adds: “Food and wine have long helped bring people together to raise funds for a variety of community initiatives, from playgrounds to parklands, to the arts, education and the environment. The foundation works year round on a variety of efforts across our five focus areas, so there are a variety of ways to bring OneHope into future events. We look forward to finding opportunities to build a long and creative partnership.”

With the wedding season right around the corner, what better way to start your married life together than by choosing a local charity to give back to? And there’s nothing for you to do but choose OneHope wines for your reception. It’s that easy. All you have to do is choose the wine or wines you wish to have at your reception, and the charity or nonprofit of your choice will receive a 15-percent donation. It’s that easy. Cheers to great wine that donates to a great cause, all while you enjoy your big day.

It should be noted that in order for a portion of your wine order to go to the cause of your choice, it should be purchased directly from an independent OneHope representative , rather than the OneHope website (which will donate to one of its causes on your behalf, depending on your wine order). “All wine orders go through my website,” says Annmarie, “and it is then shipped directly from OneHope in Napa Valley, California, to the customer’s house or office within three to five days here in Washington state.”
