Formerly the medical director of Multicare’s Medical Spa, Dr. Rubin is providing cutting-edge treatments at Gig Harbor’s premier medical spa, Nouveau MedSpas.
At Nouveau MedSpas, Dr. Rubin and Shari Bass RN specialize in personalized aesthetic treatments, based upon the patient’s personal goals and preferences. Nouveau MedSpas offers multiple treatments including Botox, Xeomin, injectable fillers, aesthetic laser procedures, SculpSure for no downtime, 25-minute body contouring, sclerotherapy for spider veins, Platelet Rich Plasma (PRP) micro-channeling for facial aesthetics along with thickening of eyebrows, and the skin on the hands, arms and décolleté. Dr. Rubin offers multiple treatments including paralytic agents such as Botox and Xeomin along with injectable fillers such as Radiesse, Voluma, Vollure, Volbella and Belotero. She is an advanced injector frequently using plastic cannulas as opposed to needles, which is far more comfortable for the patient while decreasing risks and bruising. She also treats spider veins with Asclera and performs micro-channeling with the AquaGold drug delivery system, allowing her to place stem cells, platelet-rich plasma, growth factors, hyaluronic acid, BOTOX and Vitamin C directly into the dermis and to customize each treatment to her patients' individual needs. She is pleased to offer SculpSure laser treatments for submental (chin) and body fat reduction.
Advanced injection techniques are used for facial fillers, and the state-of-the-art laser allows for body contouring that heats the fat, not the skin, and destroys 24 percent of fat in the treatment area with no downtime. “We also offer nitrous oxide for those who are fearful of procedures and as an analgesic,” says Rubin.
When it comes to what she finds most rewarding about the work she does, Dr. Rubin says it is her relationship with her patients. She adds: “I owe my success and my belief that medicine is an art, not a science, to my mentor, my mother Lucille Munion Rubin, MD, who was an oculoplastic surgeon, an ophthalmologist and a humanitarian.
