Annual family friendly concert series are underway

It’s the season we all look forward to—summertime! And each summer, music fills the air at Skansie Brothers Park and the Uptown Gig Harbor Pavilion.
The 2023 Summer Sounds at Skansie concert series kicks off on Tuesday, July 11, with performances taking place 6 to 7pm. Free to attend, the concert is a wonderful way to spend a Tuesday evening with friends and family. Bring a chair or blanket, and a picnic dinner, and sit back and relax to the tunes of some fabulous area artists. The series continues all summer long, with the final concert concluding the event on August 29.

July 11 - Beat Frequency (Pop/Rock/Dance/R&B/Funk Duo)
July 18 - Casey and Company (New & Classic Country/Classic Rock)
July 25 - The Jewel Tones (Motown-Inspired Vocal Trio)
August 1 - The Ante Up Band (Rock/Pop/Country/Classic Rock/Blues/R&B/Funk/Reggae)
August 8 - Good Day Sunshine (Beatles Cover Band)
August 15 - The Beatniks (Classic Rock)
August 22 - Ian Ayers & The Soul Purpose (Reggae)
August 29 - Sounds Like Dolores (Rock & Dance Band)
Now that your Tuesday night entertainment is covered, if you’re looking for some more of those good summer vibes, you’ll want to make your way Uptown to take advantage of the Uptown Summer Concert Series. Performances are held 6 to 8pm each Thursday evening July 6 through August 10 at the Pavilion.
